Americans want this & have for decades yet we still don't have equal access to healthcare. The absence of rights & benefits the public clearly wants puts a spotlight on serious deficits in our democracy. Could it be that the voices of big pharma & insurance are listened to more than our voices?

Universal healthcare would promote focus on preventative healthcare instead of so many uninsur d and underinsured avoiding doctors until they are really sick. Prevention is always worth at least a pound of cure. It's the right thing to do while making total economic sense.

You can't have life & the pursuit of happiness w/o health care. It's a human right that ALSO makes economic sense! Imagine the entrepreneurs that would be unleashed if they had health benefits while self-employed. US Incs would compete better w Incs who don't pay employee health costs b/c taxes do.

Bravo! But he shouldn't have been standing up alone. Disappointing that Dems did not jump to their feet en masse!

Got my vote! Jen Psaki of MSNBC just said the Dems don't need a celebrity type, outside of the party, with a lot of social media followers to run for office. Felt like that could've been directed at the Jon Stewart 2028 movement.... which must mean it's picking up steam and getting attention.
