I’m not giving up my peace for anyone, not even my parents. Being their child doesn’t mean I must stay where I’m hurt. I deserve peace and I owe it to myself. I’m choosing my well-being and sanity over anything else. I have to go, for my own peace.

You just kind of know and feel deep down that your parents don’t really like you. And it hurts. A lot.

But here I am, still living with them, and that makes me feel stupid.

Maybe this is the sign I've been needing… that being around them is really messing with my peace of mind. 💔
