Here is a character design i made for one of my stories. I present to you Felicia. I would tell you a bit more about the story but i havent completely pieced it together myself 😅

I added color to the background. im not really satisfied with the color choice here and you can see im starting to lose interest.

I started adding color to the the character and chose to stay a bit muted to add effects later.

I started doing the background trying to keep the attention to the girl by making the line art of the background a bit more faded. i also fixed her arm that was a bit too lng to my taste.

The second pass was to fix the anatomy, make the muscle more define and everything a bit more detailed. I am not working with any reference here. This was entirely done to get out of my comfort zone. I use references too for other work but you tend to limit yourself more and be stuck on research.

This is my first draft. i was trying to make a simple drawing with a weird pose with some foreshortening. at this point i didnt quite understand where to place the limbs

Honestly i dont think im quite finished with that one but im getting a bit overwhelmed by the detail so its on hiatus for now.

I have work on this animation to see what i should be able to animate directly into a website. The animation is basically procedural. I really want to integrate it to my portfolio and make it only with CSS
