Maxwell was not a scapegoat for Epstein. She was convicted of six federal crimes including enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison which she was serving at a federal prison in Florida, until her move to a federal prison camp in Texas.

Vance is essentially saying the cost of this bill, including cuts to Medicaid, are "immaterial" compared to the money saved through expanded funding in the amount of $150 billion for immigration enforcement, and about $30 billion of that total would go toward Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE.
