He should focus on his health and let his governor appoint someone to handle the senate.

I'm concerned about the practice for opposite reasons.

The easier it it to grant clemency on a case-by-case basis to those we might be biased in favor of, the greater tge incentive to make the default "throwing the book at" everyone else.

Love to see it.

I hope ICE and CBP keep this up until CPD literally can't resist cracking ICE heads.

"Anything specific" is doing some heavy lifting there.

They very clearly knew or strongly suspected that reviewing those emails was likely to turn up dirt that they'd rather stay buried.

So sorry if we dont see it as a defense that the cover up was likely more generalized.

You're making @datadrivenmd.social 's point.

They knew there was a relationship. It would have been the easiest thing in the world for an investigative outlet to peruse its own emails for further detail.

That they elected not to do so proves they did *not* want more details.

And upon firing this reporter for behaving inappropriately w a source, no one at the Times thought to peruse the emails between reporter and source?

Just turn the page and conclude there must be nothing further that they want to find?

I don't think she was under any obligation to share exculpatory details to a GJ.

It's both funny and a strategic good.

I want ICE to drive a wedge between themselves and cops. I want cops who literally can't resist cracking the skulls of ICE agents.

He was never a smart or ethical guy.

He was a guy who raced to defend anyone and only people whi were rich and/or had clout and tried to drape himself in the same honor as the ACLU.

By Trump? Definitely not.

By unspecified GOP-adjacent pedophiles? Obviously-- that's why they were "named" in the settlement.
November 13, 2025 at 3:06 AM
But it's the optics they see politics through. They are told that Dems take bribes, are corrupt, and rape kids, so it's a "win" for them when their team achieves that.

That literally don't believe that the left actually cares about those things rather than pretending to for points.
November 13, 2025 at 1:36 AM
I love your work Hemant, but you're way off base on this one.

*Most* tone deaf hands down has to go to the dude who wrote an op ed saying that we shouldn't make a fuss about any of the child rapists who aren't currently in office.

Nobody puts Dershy in a corner.
November 13, 2025 at 1:29 AM
He does the world's worst impersonation of a Guy Who's Not a Pedophile.
November 13, 2025 at 1:25 AM
I just remember I'm a comfortable middle class guy in a nice part of Chicago and sleep in whatever makes me comfortable.

Which includes an absence of a gun that I could do something regrettable w.

Also, even if I were hung like John Holmes, that won't "intimidate" an intruder.
November 13, 2025 at 1:24 AM
This guy? The one who said Epstein was his most brilliant friend? The one who wrote an op ed telling us we shouldn't bother looking into pedophiles who aren't in office?
