Northwest US queer/trans polymath techie geek community activist. I moved from Seattle to a more rural setting with my Fam for more room to breathe with less hustle. I'm an Internet and tech pioneer who longs to retire and quietly make and play guitars.
This is how we make it.

I'm going to roll something out soon that I've been working on quietly for quite a while recently and has been gestating for almost 40 years. I'm pretty excited about it and I think it's going to have a positive impact in a realm that means a lot to me.

I've been building electrics lately but I'm getting back into the acoustic world now. I'm excited to make some announcements soon about my latest project and have some nice soundboards lined up including a few sets that I've been dragging around with me for 40 years.

Friday night chill out. Analog compressor /sustainer, to be digitally controlled so I can harness it to my MIDI rig. Worked out all out and I think it will be fine. I haven't listened to it yet, just checked it on the oscilloscope which can tell you more than you can hear in some ways.

Glyphstone LPS 1 is on the table and almost ready to rock. I just need to build the pickups and wire it up, and a few other finishing touches.

Bessent leaking tariff easing with China in private meetings should be a major corruption scandal. Instead everyone is so relieved that almost nobody is making this the story.

I'm 67, a Trans Woman, and have lived my truth for half of my days so far. I've met thousands of gender-voyagers like me across the world. Special love and respect to my hijra sisters in India.

I finished detailing this 1x12" speaker cabinet I made years ago but always kept at home because I never finished up the grill. I'm selling my amps to switch to a more versatile FRFR type rig. This brass detailed beauty will be on sale soon.

Just finished up this custom bridge for my experimental acoustic project. Features tusq compensated saddle.
Wood is "red heart" that I picked up from a local wood seller. I was impressed by its resonance indicating high rigidity.

We visited our waterfall this afternoon. It's quite a blessing. It's not visible from the house but the sound of falling water as I step out the door makes me sigh....

Next lps body top lamination
This step is still a bit nerve wracking because it's a large glue surface. This time it's 3x the surface area because I glued two layers of black-dyed vernier in-between the lower body and the figured...

Mostly finished up my lathe stand so it and all the accessories and tools have a place to live. My shop is not so huge that every tool can have its own fixed bench so secondary tools like this need movable stands.

I've been coding professionally, for 40 years. My manager, I guess, who is a really good, smart guy, asked if the somewhat textual 1 pager I wrote for an engineering change, touching three separate systems, could just be fed into an LLM to magically code it. I said: "Nope". !?!?
