I've reset ponytail Barbie. You can brush her hair, but it's not fun since the bald spot shows while you do it. The style is made sleeker by that lack of thick hair. She's made for one style only. The one i bought had dusty/drab hair until I freshened her up.

I find cleaning up dolls soothing. This Free Movin' PJ had frizz all the way thru the hair. Fabric softener & hot water & lots of careful combing. Was able to get about 75% of hair de-frizzed. She's one I had as a girl, so am pleased to get her shined up. #BarbieCollecting #DollSky #VintageBarbie

Added 1964 "Miss Barbie" to my collection (wearing her pink bathing suit under pretty coat - I have her bathing cap stored carefully in a box, wigs separate).
When laid back, her eyes "sleep."
Almost alien-looking. NOT a big seller, lol. I kind of love her. :)

The hair on Julia dolls famously oxidizes to bright orange/pink/red. There was also a Talking Julia (on my wish list).
Julia, like Twiggy, was a celebrity friend doll in the Barbie line.
