Never met him but his words carried me through the darkest days of the pandemic. His honest, poetic reflections from the ER, although painful & raw, offered hope, humanity, a reminder of the strength within us all. His voice touched countless lives. Deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

The current U.S. regime is steamrolling women's rights & human rights within its own country — Project 2025 laying the groundwork for a real-life Gilead. A cautionary tale as the rise of the extreme right wing, i.e., fascism, in some allied nations follow suit.

Seems "A Handmaid's Tale" was already the ultimate dystopian novel about America. Atwood wrote a warning; the U.S. read it as a how-to manual; spiralling into Gilead with the enthusiasm of a dystopia fan club. Terrifying—and the right wing in Canada (Trump wannabees) not far behind.

You are so right...scary times we are living in when speaking out against lies/ misinformation and asking for accuracy & accountability may mean detainment with undue process if one crosses the border.

I encourage everyone to email their concerns about Greer's inaccurate and misleading claims, which serve only to incite animosity and aggression toward Canada. Such emails may be futile but perhaps less futile than posting on bsky alone.

Done. I've emailed my MP and MLA. It would be great to have the contact emails for each of these healthcare administrators so we can CC them when we email our MPs and MLAs with our support for the CSA guidelines and our disagreement of the outdated dogmatic policies of these administrators.

14st from Heather to Oak, incredibly narrow street bikeway. Had several near hits by cars here. Families and children cycle this route to nearby school; despite multiple complaints to city, nothing is done. Painted bikeways do little for bike safety. Need PROTECTED bike lanes throughout the city.
