A big hurdle for that mechanic is telling players "Hey kids! Go nuts! Do anything!" Thats scary. I really enjoy how in this game it has tables. Do you *have* to do these options? No. But it scales the power of the dice and effects. Btw. This is just one table. There are a LOT more in other books.

First, dice. Its system looks... overwhelming. But its just 3 catagories of dice canceling each other out. With a good or bad option. You want to succeed, but then can get modifiers changing the actions outcome. By like a LOT. Fail upward, fail completely. Complete success, rocky success, ect.

There's 2 things in the FFG Star Wars #ttrpg that tickle the brain just right. In a perfect way that I've never had any other game hit since. That being it dice pool system, and player driven narrative mechanic. I wanna talk about it.
