The more I think about it, I think #Dispatch had a terrible ending.
December 6, 2025 at 4:09 PM
I just finished #Dispatch. It was good. A little predictable and it was shitty the way they used the dog at the end. I didn't like that. But it was worth playing.

I've already built two web apps with Google's #Antigravity and deployed them to GCP. Amazingly easy, really, as long as you're willing to grapple with an LLM and its issues.

I don't hate #Windows but the consensus is it's terrible. What will it look like in another year or two? Will we care? Who knows.

The latest podcast episode looks at video game remakes vs. remasters. This is often a confusing discussion, and our hosts try to make sense of it by looking at some recent games in both categories.

As a long time fan of #BlackIsleStudios and #ObsidianEntertainment, my personal take after completing #TheOuterWorlds2 over about 50 hours is it ranged from amazingly great to so-so. I certainly enjoyed it but found it a bit lackluster in certain areas.
November 27, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Most of the time, games run at about 30fps on #XboxSeriesX and #PS5. I imagine the #SteamMachine will be in the same ballpark. Thereabouts. As long as it's about $500-$650 (with 2TB SSD), I'm good with that.
November 24, 2025 at 6:10 PM
I don't know about anyone else but I plan to buy a #SteamMachine day one. I know it won't beat an #XboxSeriesX or #PS5, but it has access to #Steam with its great sales and return policy. That's enough for me.
November 23, 2025 at 9:17 PM
50 hours in and honestly, #TheOuterWorlds2 has been somewhat hit and miss. When it's good, it's really good. Right now, at the end, it's exceptional.

Sometimes with AI it feels like I wear it down until it agrees, or it wears me down until I agree. IOW, nothing really gets accomplished.

Valve recently announced the Steam Machine, a Linux-based PC for the living room. Similar to the Steam Deck, it runs on SteamOS and can play most but not all of the games in your Steam library. How does this compare to what Xbox and PlayStation offer?

It could be #Microsoft doesn't want us to pay $30 for the highest tier of #Gamepass. Maybe what they want is for us to pay for a lower tier and then pay full price for their games?
