did you see this news story? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Aside from the heartwarming human interest story, there's the aspect of a non-verbal person but with noticable Wigan accent (to me, in parts) when singing?
Non-verbal autistic man shows off 'perfect' singing
An autistic man is chasing his music dream by singing with Irish duo Foster and Allen.

Honestly this reads like the setup for a 90s Britcom. What could go wrong here?

A fan-owned club has just been bought by a Swiss banker as a trojan horse for his property development ambitions. And RL is the peoples game? Funny old world eh?

That seemed like a cool database. Encouraged to see that it ranks the teams in "all of sports". Couple of clicks later, realise it means "all sports in the United States".

Anyway, the Leigh Centurions in the UK recently rebranded to the Leopards. The accidentally used a jaguar on their kits tho...

Naan bread is a good one. Very common in the UK and I only found out it was redundant from a Hindi speaker. But there's a good deal of semantic shift gone on.

100%. I tried to 'restore' a big vice like they do on youtube. huge waste of time and money when you remember it's a lump of iron that you'll knock the shit out of anyway.

I'm fairly open to changing usages, but I dislike "exponential" when used to mean "a shitload" because it's usually used by people trying to sound clever in a business context. So it has the opposite effect.

I hope it's good! Not sure what audience it's aimed at but the sport is on a massive upswing here based on Luke Littler

darts is an insanely class sport. you can say what you like about the UK but there is no country on earth that has anything like the same depth of darting talent. that's why it's so beloved here. OK cheers.

People can bitch over this kind of thing. But perhaps they don't appreciate that someone probably typed that very quickly into a field in a CMS among a thousand other jobs they were having to do in that moment.
