I am a biogeochemist studying blue carbon ecosystems. My research focuses on the coastal carbon cycle, including lateral exports, carbon stocks, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Exciting news! My project “Alkalinity generation in eelgrass: An overlooked mechanism for carbon sequestration?” has been awarded a Swedish Research Council Starting Grant (SEK 4.8 million). A PhD position will open soon in marine biogeochemistry and carbon cycling.

#EGU25 was a great experience! I gave a keynote on how climate change will impact mangrove habitats, participated in a panel discussion on ECR in #BlueCarbon science, and even got to spontaneously chair the Beyond Blue Carbon session. Grateful to have shared these moments with my family by my side.
