All that gold
Turns to dust in the wind

Under the shiny outside
Could be any
Dark unknowns

when brightness grabs attention, you
don’t see the rest.
Lift the veil, see beyond
The hypnotic charms

Your dulled senses awake from their lull
As grey dust blows
Across a bleak landscape

reminded of a calm feminist poem a therapist once gave me:“eat rice, have faith in women” “what I don’t know now, others will come back and tell me”
Burned out
watch our country be burned
down
people have been burned
Starting to heat up
Steaming rice
Fuck trunip
Mix
Fruits
plates spin
Hungry
Cold

Yeah, but are you liking Breitbart news as a trusted source?

Or perhaps, as a trusted playground for lies? Who is the Audience there?

So a weird kind of homophobia.

The better to stomp on you, my dear

I’m trying to translate her prose into something simple and direct. It quickly became revolting.
I am sorry if she shows up in someone’s dreams, no doubt uninvited. If she wants action, it’s her own business, but whatever she’s saying with word salad is liltingly unpoetic. And weirdly revolting.

Then def magic tree house series, and spinelli. There’s some in YA, but other books are in j, at the libraries.

The magic tree house series, perhaps, tho it might be too young. Jerry spinelli, anything. The golden compass by Pullman, if he can manage a full length novel.
The public library has a fabulous young adults section, might have graphic novels in their own section. Plus (personal) reading lists

It's still a huge power differential. And it's not sex. It's sexual abuse, assault, digital rape, coercive power activities. And including psychological abuse.

Will read. I'd repost, but why does it have a thumbnail photo of what's his name? We've got to stop showing his photo, even if he's implicated.

Good suggestions. The book can sure stir things up, and trigger things. Support is a good thing to have set up.

With more characters, I'd say, to the people who don't get it (yet), read this book, and stop expecting us to be over it on your time line or for your convenience.
PTSD isn't very convenient.

Thanks for reading it. Rough. Brave. For people who never had experienced such things, quite a shock.

Was not directed at you. I meant it for all the ones I've known who want me to be over it, and to those who don't get it about abuse:
they need to read this book, and comprehend PTSD isnt simple, and stop expecting people to "be over it".
By reading her book, I think you stand in solidarity.
