What happens when youth aren’t just research subjects but co-creators? Yesterday I honored an invitation to speak with the STAR scholars. We unpacked what real youth engagement in HIV research looks like: not tokenism, but true collaboration. To the STAR scholars: I'm rooting for you!

Last week, I had the joy of spending 3 powerful days with the CFAR HIV & Implementation Science Fellows and mentors. Our discussions reaffirmed how essential collaboration and advocacy are, especially in community-centered work. Grateful for the brilliant community advancing the work to end AIDS.

It's been a couple of weeks since I joined Bluesky! I'm Dr. Gloria Aidoo-Frimpong, an HIV researcher and Associate Professor at University at Buffalo. My work focuses on reducing HIV disparities in Black and immigrant communities through community-driven and evidence-based interventions.
