Aaand I finished the moth a week or two ago. I have a habit of not posting much, and that’s fine.

I decided to put a rainbow in the back and use the trans flag colors more heavily here, to emphasise the balance and fluidity between genders, as also in the traditional card, the character is seen as being without any gender or both.

I’m damn tired of all the corporations pride washing and cis people saying pride should be less sexualised to make it more inclusive for everyone. It’s bullshit that right wingers have been spouting for years. Stop pushing out marginalised groups because you want family fun time and gawk at the queens.

This is an interpretation of the tarot card Natural Balance, which commonly depicts a person in the same scenario, which is neither man nor woman. Or perhaps both. Androgynous and gender bending symbolism has always been present in the tarot.

A bunch of transfers on my workspace wall.
I started doing diy transfers to save some time and energy. I draw on thin paper, scratch the back with a soft graphite and line over on the front with a pen after placing it on the painting surface. Works charms!

The sleeper, a small oil painting about 14cm x 15cm which I did about 3 years ago. I always feel drawn to this, as it perhaps serves as a reminder that before my HRT (when this was painted) I was still asleep. It wasn’t long after that I woke up and my life changed quite a lot.

A box with my old stickers. I used to draw more vibrant colours and a more cartoonish style. I still try to keep some of this in my work, tho I must admit it’s not always as easy to try and squish styles together.
Maybe at some point I’ll make a new piece in this style.

My personal take on the 20th Major Arcana, Judgement. Got started on this underpainting this morning, and now I’m waiting for it to be dry enough to start feeding in colors and details.

Tiny little hierophant nearly finished. So far in this series this might be the one I’m most satisfied with. It’s my 8th piece of this series with 64 more to go. It’s gonna take awhile.
