saying this as someone who only listened to his ut/dr songs btw

so true! i have a soft spot for furi kuri though since i love silly sounding names

the fact that these games were made solely with the intent of "oh you can run as fast as you can through the levels, but you can also just look cool by stringing badnik bounce combos, having lots of rings and still getting a time bonus if you're able to" makes them even more replayable for me

it obviously rewards you for playing well but it mainly reinforces the very forgotten focus that these games had on score, something very present in its level design, badnik/ring placement, etc. literally every 2d sonic game since 3&k lost this one layer of depth, but mania didn't for the most part.

why not? it's really fun! i completed all the ones in mania that have medals just because i like them
