A new aviation solidarity coalition on premium flyers has been launched at #FFD4 by France, Kenya, Barbados, Spain, Somalia, Benin, Sierra Leone and Antigua & Barbuda, with support from the EU Commission.

Yesterday, the GSLTF hosted an event with @chathamhouse.org at #LCAW2025.
In a high-level panel, Ali Mohamed 🇰🇪, Benoît Faraco 🇫🇷, Anna Aberg 🇸🇪 & Avinash Persaud 🇧🇧 made clear: solidarity levies on polluting industries are fair, actionable sources of concessional finance.

Today we hosted an event in Cape Town on building coalitions for solidarity levies 🇿🇦

Momentum is growing around solidarity levies as they are an underutilised source of climate and development finance.

With support from 17 countries, we are building government coalitions to back them.
