U.S. companies typically face lower enforcement risk unless they operate in high-priority sectors. Foreign companies, however, may be subject to increased scrutiny.

#2: Data Privacy Violations
Over half of Council respondents rated data privacy violations as ‘7’ or greater on a 1-10 severity scale, wherein a ‘10’ is considered the “most severe” threat.

#1: Disinformation
According to Council member Lt. Colonel Thomas Kenney, while disinformation is most often associated with military or government operations, “disinformation campaigns targeting brands or corporations are also likely to rise quickly.”
