Flooding in Beltar, a remote Tamang village in the valley, where we have a chicken coop program. My younger brother (the project manager) is stuck & can't get back to KTM, plus part of the mountain road has washed away....

Good morning from the Pharping Senior Citizen Care Home in Nepal! Young Sahrda Aama and Maile Aama have finished their chores, and are walking laps around the courtyard for exercise, while in the kitchen Pushpa visits with Bishnu as she prepares our morning meal. Make it a great day, everyone! 🤗

Maile Aama ("aama" means "mother" in Nepali) lost most of her left hand in a house fire when her parents left her alone to gather firewood. She was just a child. She was married off young to a drunk as his co-wife (he already had a wife). My formal interview with Maile Aama coming soon. #nepal 💙
