Did a 10 mile hike in the woods today. I'm tired.

I've been having an amazing gdc so far. The real time fx summit went very well, thanks for all of our amazing speakers who did an amazing job! A highlight was also the real time fx mixer on Monday, which featured a giant pan of paella. What an amazing GDC experience :)

Today's adventures in bread making; Salted sourdough bread.

My dad made an entire set of braille dice out of wood (d20, d12, d10, percent die, d8, d6, d4) for my husband! They're bigger than 3D printed resin braille dice making them a little easier to read.

They're beautiful and made out of cherry wood with beads for the braille.

My dad's the best.

My dad has been experimenting with making wooden Braille d20s for my husband. The 3d printed ones are kinda small and hard to read. My dad's a carpenter and he's been making d20s for a while now, so this has been a fun challenge for him.

The Larco museum in Lima, Peru has some really amazing artifacts including Incan and other pre Columbian civilizations' ceremonial burial artifacts. Some of these items include gold burial adornments to rival those in Egypt. Absolutely stunning

When my husband got his retinitis pigmentosa diagnosis 7 years ago I asked him what was on his vision bucket list. Things to see while he has some useful sight. He said Machu Picchu because it sounded really cool. Yesterday we made that happen!

Visiting Peru, got to see these really cool salt mines yesterday done in the traditional Incan way. Mineral water containing salt comes from a natural mountain spring. It moves through the terraces into pools where it evaporates for delicious salt.

It was super pretty.
