I can’t even fathom this. One of my family member’s meds costs $378/month. That’s with full insurance coverage and a coupon. All in, we pay about $1200/mo for prescription meds. And again, we have GREAT insurance, comparatively.

I was making payments, but I couldn’t teach during Covid, while in treatment. I was to pay about $70k of it. Things piled up. I was told that insurance companies build in assumed amounts of bankruptcies. During my bankruptcy hearing, 12 out of the 15 people were there for overwhelming medical debt.

I’ve finished more cross stitch projects in 2025 than I did in the past three years, combined!
