"protect the women and children!" Legislstion will only make victims and minors less safe, with fewer resources to advocate for themselves, and anti-sex-work ideology leads to the kind of abuse these women and children faced.

So basically the "that's my son/daughter!!!" antis are technically just as much shotacons/lolicons as the people they complain about. :3

But especially in the case of shotacon as Shotaro complex was coined as a male/masc equivalent of how Lolita complex was used for anime characters, and Shotaro being a character people got like that about especially.

I also think it's important to note that when shotacon and lolicon were first used for people's fixations on characters, it referred to nonsexual ones too (especially the people who wanted to be the parent or big sibling of the characters).

Shotacon comes from "Shotaro complex", which is like lolita complex but with male/masc characters. Named after Shotaro from Tetsujin 28-Go, who was a popular character of "young boy protag" archetype.
