One of my favourite OC facts is that the Harold Holt Swim Centre pool is one of only two bodies of water (that I've found so far) named after a drowning victim.

The other is the Tiber River in Italy, named after King Tiberinus who was believed to have drowned in said river circa 914 BCE.

I've had a roll of PETG in my rack for 2+ years, intended for some highish-temp printer mods (clicky/locking bed wheels, build plate alignment tabs, tighter cooling duct), but HT-PLA is a thing now, so I might just... not 😅

Here's their map of UK twin towns, excellent little bit of distraction.

TIP: Click on the 'Interactions' (cursor) icon near the top left and toggle the 'Tooltips' on, then you can click on a line/arc to see what town is at each end.

They should all work pretty much the same, the cool thing is you can make config backups and switch if you ever find a good reason to.

I considered sticking mine on Proxmox but wound up just buying an HA Green box do I didn't have to think about it 😅

Print the same parts rotated 180° for zero-vibration resonance cancellation.

Not seeing the problem here, this sounds like a great way of putting your current printer's size into proper perspective.

It runs the hot nozzle over the top layer to smooth out the lines after printing. Takes a bit of tweaking to get right but can be worth it if you need a clean surface.

You can be the bash dot org of Bluesky? That's still pretty dope.

I have no idea what I was thinking. I don't even like shrimp.

What's the weirdest thing you've consumed at an airport? Blackened shrimp for breakfast at ATL for me 🦐🦐🦐

Never been a better time 😉 Decent machines are shockingly cheap (especially if you don't need a huge build volume) and the new ones are pretty damn close to plug-n-play.

I think every household should have one, even if it's just for basic stuff like repairs, spare parts, storage doodads, etc.

Now THAT is a confession, damn.

I'd love to see a compilation of Most Unhinged Senior Secrets 😅

As a reader, when I submit a typo correction on the Kindle app, does anyone actually see it or does it just disappear into the void? A lot of my favourite books (self-published fantasy and litrpg) clearly never got edited or proofread and I just wanna help make them better for others to enjoy.
