So Legends ZA has my brain hyperfocused on Pokémon as usual

It's gonna be a week since ZA dropped and i have already

- Beaten Story + Postgame
- Obtained Shiny Charm
- Collected every Colorful Screw
- Achieved 84 hours of playtime (as of posting this)

I will be doing plenty of hunts for my dex!

I forgot to post that I have once again made some nice improvements on my Sprint record!

It took almost the entire month of July to bring my record down to 1:23, yet i was feeling improvement to my skills! August comes around and all of a sudden, I ACHIEVE A 1:17!? HUH

just so i don't forget, i've been participating in #PKMNMothWeek2025 and figured i'd post my findings here on bluesky !! i wanna see how many slots i can fill out for my shiny living dex during the week, here's hoping for 5 different targets !! (3 so far)

which allows the shinies you run into, have a chance to run away from you each turn. Last year i particpated and got a shiny psyduck, which was the only shiny I got. This year I want to try and run into (and hopefully catch) two shinies !! I'm either gonna pop off or cry in a corner...

normally i'd be in the trenches catching shinies, but i decided to play and finish a Hat in Time!! having a blast so far playing a platformer again!!

But i'll drop 2 cool shinies i got recently to show that i am still on that grind 🔥🔥

which will include the phases and shinies gifted to me by others. I do plan on getting one of each shiny with my OTs, but it feels special when i imagine my friends pitching in!! My biggest hurdle will be Shiny-locked pokemon, but i'll tackle that when I reach towards the end. I love shiny hunting 🌟

that has carried over when i face cpus or my friends.

It feels very rewarding watching my time improve, as if I was a speedruner!!

While I am far from being a tetris pro at my current skill, I am excited to see how far i can push myself with this!

July was a turning point for me bc that's when i picked up fortnite 💀

My favorite part of Legends Arceus is getting to see the Pokémon be shiny on the icons.

It's something not groundbreaking, yet it makes me feel more happy and more motivated to collect more shinies in this game.

SOS chaining for shinies brings me back to when i first started getting serious about shiny hunting

Depending on the target, it's either gonna be a simple hunt that requires not too much prep, or you need to plan around abilities or moves so it doesn't slow down your progress. (sand-attack /neg)

There's so many characters I can choose, but I was able to narrow it down to her

She has forever altered my brain that i cannot explain with words

(the same goes for her male counterpart also btw, i cherish them both and wanna give smooches)

You know what I find cool in pokemon? You can sometimes just hunt fully evolved pokemon in the wild at rare chances!

Obviously rare chances to encounter means more chances at phasing on other pokemon, but that just means MORE SHINIES FOR ME!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

also politoed having perish song made me scared💀

Shiny Hunting is the one hobby I have that I can always come back to when I wanna push my luck or if I need something to auto-pilot on before I lose it due to not doing anything

So far i'm almost a quarter of the way done towards my goal, which is insane given I started this in October 2023 💀
