Here's my idea for nursing (nurse too). For every pt you are out of ratio you should get that percentage more in pay. I.e. ICU 2:1 ratio, if you get 3:1 you should get 50% more in pay. PCU 4:1- of you get 5:1 you should get 25% more in pay. That way the hospital still has to pay the same out for pay
