Today I learned that in Fallout 4's Nuka World, most of the eyebots were apparently intended to be playing the jingle from the Nuka World trailer. And they haven't been doing this in the nine or so years since it came out due to a single little script error.

A long time ago I screwed around and made a bunch of different mushroom textures for skyrim, varying from mundane to "that one probably kills you in a fascinating and magical way." I think this one turned out to be my favorite:

I always forget how much of a pain it is to set up a new load order for a Bethesda game. And then I do it, and it's a pain. And then I forget again and eventually do it again.

It's pretty easy to tell when a game's design was heavily influenced by a programmer who wasn't particularly knowledgeable about managing user experience. Look for powers of two where you would expect a round number. Settings that cap at 255 or 256, or item stacks with a maximum of 16.

It's always fun to poke "unwinnable" battles in games to see what happens when you win. Most of the time, the game just moves on as though you lost. Sometimes you break things. And very rarely, the developers actually made something happen for players who accomplished the impossible.

I just remembered an exploit I used to have lots of fun with, in Age of Empires 2's scenario editor. I don't remember the specifics anymore, but it would allow you to stack as many objects as you wanted to in the same tile.
It was fun to make a tile where poking it would produce an instant army.

Bethesda really likes to tell "skeleton stories" in their Fallout titles, where they pose them to imply various things. But I think my favorite skeleton in Fallout 4 is this one a bit north of CIT that's just kind of floating in midair because the car it was placed on got moved without it.
