Anyways, these are just my current thoughts and concerns after reading the guidelines.

Maybe I misinterpreted something? But I don't think community guidelines should be so easy to misinterpret.

I would say this seems like a return to the days of redirecting to sites like poipiku, but D. iv. says:

"Do not create, SHARE, or PROMOTE sexual content involving realistic risk of death or serious injury."

and I worry that that ban on sharing and promoting with spread to D. ii.

I do not consider my works to fall under what is disallowed under the guidelines, but I do not want to get in trouble.

Which is a shame, as I left both Tumblr, and then Twitter, in order to post my works without concern.

I've only ever posted 1 or 2 NSFW/graphic works, and I was planning on uploading them here, along with a couple others, because Bsky has the "labels" function. This allows for a warning to be displayed before viewing the work.

But now I don't think I will out of fear of the guidelines.

What makes it "realistic"? is it the art style? or is it the viewer believing that the subject matter may actually die/be injured?

With immortal characters, you know they're likely to be fine, but if you don't know the character then you're missing the context & wouldn't know. Where does that fall?

Also, "sexual content involving realistic risk of death or serious injury". All parts can be debated.

Some see nudity itself as inherently sexual (even when it's not).

"realistic risk of death or serious injury" can be debated to the moon and back.

Interpreting "consent" in an artwork isn't always as straightforward as some might think, so it could easily be abused.

Is it determined by a statement in the comment saying "THEY CONSENT"? Is it viewer interpretation? That can wildly vary.

"Scientists have named this the Transgalactic Galaxy. It's seems to be a two galaxy system, but is believed to really be a nebula full of grouped smaller galaxies. It was named after the trans pride flag, due to the striking resemblance to the flag."

I don't think I ever drew anything in relation to it, because I developed this part much later, but he does use a spear for combat when all else fails and he MUST fight.

Some places still aren't safe though (because of the World Government, Nobles, or just general prejudice), so he will use clothing to hide his siren features if he needs to.

He also sometimes sings in bars (without the hypnotism) for tips.

It's a case of "I don't tell on you to your enemies, so I'm not gonna tell on them to you." It's given him a very good name across the seas in the years he's been working.

It also means that most ships are safe to land on in case of emergency.
