This seems very reductive. Do you have any sources I can read? I found one from 2013 with participants from the Norwegian Twin Registry that mentions the variance of CT (Childhood Trauma) being less than 2% when accounting for other factors, with the exception being Borderline PD and Antisocial PD

Weird way to announce you haven't talked to any agnostic or atheist

I think the "need to prove wrong" is a very human trait, so I wouldn't be struck if I were you

But no, I didn't realize it was a tax joke

Not believing in gods is not the same as believing there are no gods

The atheist criticism of religion is not about what people do, but what religion enables

Atheism isn't a system of beliefs. We have widely different views on everything. The only thing that we have in common is disbelief in gods

#1 Majority of atheists do not definitively assert there's no god
#2 A lot of atheists do not bash on people, but rather on the religious ideas
#3 Even if 1 and 2 were false, how would that qualify as a religion?

I wasn't being condescending. Sorry if it came out that way. Also, I'm not into the disproving god
December 19, 2024 at 8:05 PM
I was, yes. But it can be extrapolated to real life. If the atheists around you only talk about their disbelief and it's always unprompted, I guess I'd also be as concerned as you are

This tells me nothing about "looking at him", again, what does that mean?
December 19, 2024 at 7:48 PM
Perhaps because their lives have had such a negative impact by a belief in a god, that they're advocating against that harm. Regardless, assuming someone doesn't talk about other things based on social media seems flawed
December 19, 2024 at 6:41 PM
What does that even mean? Look at him?
December 19, 2024 at 6:38 PM
Sounds like you might be using the most useless definition of religion that you can
December 19, 2024 at 6:37 PM
Canonically, he was fully against it so it's weird his followers aren't really following him
December 19, 2024 at 6:34 PM
We can also care about spending time with our loved ones and having delicious dinner. Atheists celebrating Christmas isn't about Christ, but about love in a season prime for it
December 19, 2024 at 6:33 PM
And other people want to control atheist dialogue unprovoked because theism is widely accepted. Telling us to just drop the topic is perpetuating the oppression that led religion to be this widely accepted

Not wrong about rainforest tbh. That sounds fantastic
December 19, 2024 at 6:19 PM
I was just thinking about this. I was having an argument with an apologist earlier today and suddenly was like: "Why am I even doing this, I don't care enough"

Well, new profile pic I guess
