granted this would be a really big error and should have been sorted out a lot sooner, I do think that they simply did just forget to tell her about it (doesn't entirely excuse this though obviously)
since it's a new console generation I can imagine documents and stuff getting lost or mixed up

I can indeed confirm that this did happen unfortunately, as the VA posted about it on her instagram
from what I've heard Nintendo usually treat employees very well so this is highly unusual, while it's easy to go "billion dollar company bad", I am not ruling out the possibility of it being an error

I think the fact of how Deltarune starts and how Undertale ends is the biggest smoking gun for the "it's a sequel" misinterpretation
I remember after Chapter 1's release Toby had to outright come out and say that it's a separate thing, so I'm hoping we'll get more clarity soon

Unity is like... *the* most datamineable engine lol, it's relatively easy to just reverse engineer entire games back into project files
I think Unity has tried to stop this before, but the tools get updated immediately so it never worked

this isn't the first time this has happened in the past month either
they also patched out Sprint-Crouching/Sneaking as well as that thing where you can just exit a world and negate fall damage
both of these affected literally nobody negatively and were very out of the way, so why patch it???

honestly I still don't get how people can see white and gold
because that would imply that they're under some kind of weird lighting
looking at the background you can see the light blaring, which lines up with the blue and black becoming brighter, I cannot see this lighting creating white and gold
