Mario Kart 64 was always always always the game I looked forward to playing when I went to my friends house as a kid. Also, menu music was a vibe.
Brawl was not my fav. But it's launch hype was next level.

The 2K era in high school are some times I will never forget. The soundtracks were the best they ever were in the franchise. The game felt a little more arcadey which made it special. Nothing like some shot-clock cheese.

Balatro took over my life around Christmas time. I had to put it down because I was too hooked on it. I don't get how some of you make it to scientific notation though. Also... every time I go bowling I hear the Wii Sports theme in my head.

This slate of games are all solid for their own reasons. I think what they all have in common for me is the music. Wario Land 4 is one of the only platformers I truly like. Sonic CD is childhood. Sanctuary is amazing.

This slate of games are all solid for their own reasons. I think what they all have in common for me is the music. Wario Land 4 is one of the only platformers I truly like. Sonic CD is childhood. Sanctuary is amazing.

WaW is a lowkey favorite of mine and it gave us ZOMBZ. Civ VI builds on my love for AoE. I think of OW2 and OW as the same game and it gave me great times. Mass Effect.... self explanatory, we'll see where 2 lands.

I'm just happy my local library as a kid had AoE, RollerCoaster Tycoon, and Zoo Tycoon available to borrow. I would intentionally ask my parents to take me back just to see if the games were there. All time greats.
