In 2023, we also decided to have three organizers in different continents to increase awareness and reach more researchers and trainees. We were still an EMBO and IUBMB event. This time the organizers were @stephgupton.bsky.social @christlet.bsky.social and Carlos Wilson

In 2019, our fifth edition. We became again an EMBO Workshop. We choose Villarrica, another lovely destination in the south of Chile as venue. Starting this year we decided to have 3 organizers, promoting female leaderships. Organized with Patricia Garcez and Subhojhit Roy

In 2017, we were still an EMBO workshop and also a IUBMB event. Again, we were in Puerto Varas, and had a lovely off site lunch visiting Frutillar, a charming village nearby. Organized with Carsten Janke and Don Arnold.

In 2011 I started a series of workshops entitled Emerging Concepts of the Neuronal Cytoskeleton, all of them held in Chile. The main motivation was to provide Latin American trainees with opportunities to showcase their work, develop their careers and create networks. Organized with Peter Baas
