When I did recruitment at lionhead, we abandoned tech interviews and just spoke to candidates about their experiences and coding motivations. The company closed down about 10 years after I left, so I'd like to think it went ok as a process.

I bought a couple of used aerons when I started freelancing in 2005, they're still going strong. The nice thing is when parts fail, you can get new ones.
