Sakura didn’t see him, focusing on something in her tablet in a serious manner, her coffee on the table half-finished.

Sasuke casually walked up to her table and pulled a chair back to sit directly in front of her.

This prompted her to finally look up from her tablet at the rude stranger.

A sudden downpour made Sasuke seek shelter in a nearby cafe. While looking out the glass window, he spotted something pink reflected on it.

His head snapped around a bit too quickly that he felt a cramp, but the pain was ignored when he laid eyes on her.

Upon hearing the news, Sasuke too wanted to leave, but unsure where she is going to work at next, he couldn’t follow suit.

However, he had stopped entertaining all women in the office, speaking to them in a serious tone instead of the kind, albeit flirty tone the women are used to.

gossip spread like wildfire for both Sakura and Sasuke; one saying how she must be desperate to seduce a playboy, while another talk about his “conquest” of kissing any girl

the awkwardness and tension grew until Sakura decided to resigned, never telling anyone where she’ll be going to next

that was until one day someone walked in on her and the genius but flirty creative designer making out in the copier room after office hours.

“Aa, let’s do that,” was his immediate reply.

“Seriously???” she asked in disbelief.

She gently pulled him into an embrace. “I’m sorry for worrying you, Sasuke-kun, and thank you for worrying about me.”

He hugged her tightly to him, burying his face in the crook of her neck.

“Do you want to consider a vasectomy then?” she popped the question.

“I almost lost you. I have lost many people, I cannot afford to lose you. No child is worth losing you, Sakura,” his voice cracked as his hand squeezed hers tightly.

Sakura realised how much fear and worry she had caused him while giving birth.

Realising he has more to say, she waited patiently.

“You were bleeding. Your heart almost stopped. Karin panicked trying to heal you while holding Sarada. Luckily you managed to activate your Byakugo before you passed out,” a single tear fell from his eye as he recalled the terrifying moment.
