My son’s first #isles game was a St. Patrick’s day matinee in Detroit in 2019. The first thing he started talking about at the end of tonight’s game was how Matt Martin tossed him a puck during warmups! We are Matt Martin fans for life!

Absolutely. I have Bridges to Baccalaureate submission that was scheduled to be reviewed at the end of the month. Got an email that the review assignment changed and now it is showing a special emphasis panel with no SRO and no meeting date.
Thank you for this post. I have “pending” MARC and PREP renewals with favorable scores. Suspending these programs will cause irreparable damage in training the next generation of scientists. It’s just devastating.

Part of me wants to say one of my undergrads could have written this notice, but most of my students would never turn in garbage like this! And no one at NIH would ever discuss an analysis and data without a citation. This was clearly not written or approved by experienced NIH staff.

I recently submitted an NIH training grant aimed at creating a biomed research bridge program for CC students, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, transferring to 4 yr colleges. This and the anti-DEI stance of the current admin will have a serious impact on training future scientists.
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
