A good, solid, well-crafted tale that brings in-depth characters together. Jackson Brodie is only a partial player here, but it works. A few too many plot “coincidences”, but a fun read. 3.75/5

From 1967’s Batman show. 57 years ago, but I’d love to have that car racing setup.

It tried to be too many things: a dystopian story on climate change, an estranged father-daughter relationship story, a mortality account on facing fatal illness, and a murder mystery. All were simply moderate. I picked out the villain quickly. Still, the story flowed well enough to entertain.

I’ve played for 20 years and used multiple platforms, and Fantrax is the best…. but I’m still waiting for it to include WNBA and PWHL!

Just getting around this month to watching the Chris Pine Star Trek trilogy. Excellent stuff. Pine is a superior Kirk than Shatner.

Towles proves you don’t need a complicated plot to succeed if you have interesting, drawn out characters in a well-written story. Great read.
