Dusty passed through the rainbow bridge this morning. When he was 2 years old, we rescued him in -20f weather. He lived happily the next 11 years doing 2 rescues of his own.

Back in the kitty world. Yesterday, this less than one year old kitty with a broken tail wandered up to our house in the boonies. Totally affectionate, scared and starved. Vet visit tomorrow, but she's an absolute cutie.

Two formerly feral cats. Dusty on the left, Bojangles on the right. Each took 3 months to learn to be part of the family. Part of our Trap Neuter Tame & Home program. 3 other cats were sleeping elsewhere at the time. In the background is a tree for our Blue Fronted Amazon parrot.

Cat story. We took Dusty to the vet for a diet problem. Vet told us he had bone cancer in his mouth and weeks to live. Gave us a painkillers. One day, we missed the meds, and he perked up. Took the x rays to a new vet who said, the x ray was fogged, no cancer. 5 years later, he's still with us.

Feral cats. We live in the boonies and there are feral cats who live here too. Occasionally one will become a regular. When that happens, we don't trap, neuter and release. We trap, neuter, tame, and find a home. This is spot before trapping. He now has a nice home in Minneapolis.
