It's almost like you guys haven't read the classic Farmhouse Ales book, and specifically Yvan De Baets' chapters on Saison?
According to Yvan's research, old and young saisons were commonly blended, and there was even likely some relationship between saisons and lambic (if I remember correctly).

Tried both Raindrop and Instapaper, but couldn't archive articles in Raindrop (only delete), so I've fully transitioned to Instapaper.

This is actually one of my favourite science tricks:
- Sit outside on patio on sunny day
- Order 2 of the same beer (preferably IPA)
- Keep one in the shade/the other in full sun
- After 10-15 minutes, one of the beers will be distinctively skunky
Blows peoples' minds.
