I’m looking at a way to dual post on both platforms. Working on it.

To be clear, this has nothing to do with X’s ownership or the perceived political skew of either platform. I just want to keep the bot running until the @WeAreTheDead roll call is complete. About 7,800 of the 118,000 names of military dead are still to be posted.

I’m hoping X will lift the rate limit on @WeAreTheDead but I’m not confident. So it will continue on both X (with limited posts) and Bsky until the full list of war dead names have been posted (estimated to take until mid-Oct. 2025).

(I could pay $200 USD monthly to keep @WeAreTheDead tweeting more but I’ve already sunk a lot of my own $ to pay for server time and database hosting for the bot, dating back to its launch in 2011.)

X now limits automated accounts to 500 posts per month. To post hourly as @WeAreTheDead does requires as many 744 monthly.
