The most important thing to take from the Data Use Bill snafu in the NI Assembly is confirmation that Westminster and Whitehall continue to not have the foggiest clue what they signed up to in agreeing the Windsor Framework:

Hilary Benn has commissioned an independent review into the functioning of the Windsor Framework, led by former NI SoS Lord Murphy.

The review was required after the consent vote in December only passed with a simple majority in the NI Assembly
