It's a great game, though! I almost wonder if they put these in a while ago and just forgot? It's not like it's all programmer art, but I don't remember much 2D art in the game, so maybe they just don't have anyone with relevant skills on the team. Still weird they couldn't license a photo or smth

Yeah, I attached these two, because I remember thinking the first one looked fishy (the "thick-rimmed" glasses have weirdly thin rims, but also the whole "vibe" , like the lighting or edge work, i guess), but the second one convinced me.

I've noticed Workers And Resources has some undisclosed AI-generated (imo) images for in-game character portraits. Really weirded me out, because evidently a lot of effort went into the game but it really cheapens the vibe when you see this in the tutorial.

I feel like I could post this under every podcast you guys put out, but: I really appreciate what Frank adds to the discussion! I (usually) have zero interest in the games he brings up, and it's just really cool to listen to a (well-articulated!) viewpoint I don't have access to in my friend circle.

Could you expand a bit on "the bonkers way we media have to redeem pre-release codes for games in Europe"? Maybe I'm just bad at googling, but I couldn't find any other substantive mentions of this (also I'm guessing the exact details aren't public information).

I had to google it — just in case anyone is confused like me, Jacob is probably talking about "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown", and not "The Lost Crown: A Ghost-Hunting Adventure" which released in 2008 and doesn't have the subtitle on Steam 🤦♂️
