🇨🇦, roaming curiosity for other ways to see the world: what does that look like for you? That’s why I’m here. “Be curious, not judgemental”
Impressive. When i was there this summer, i saw sporadic silent protests: people seemingly going about their business suddenly “froze” mid-walk in an intersection for 10 minutes - all buses and traffic stopped.

Then at an unseen, unheard signal all resumed as if nothing happened. Striking to see.

FWIW, these are the 2 headlines competing for my attention on latest Apple News notification.
Coincidence? methinks not.

Now transport yourself back to your 2015 self, and read this again. WTAF!? I can only shake my head in disbelief. Who wrote this dystopian script of a rotten tomato movie??

+ 10% tariff on potash at the start of planting season. Sounds like a real winning formula. Look forward to see how that’s working for Nebraskan farmers.

Good answer. You’ll get MUCH more respect and sympathy for sharing dissent out loud and proudly as an American who gets to do something about it in US. Canadians can’t.

+ You’ll never believably convey the extent of Canadian anger and sense of betrayal. Cover will be blown in 5 sec.

Speaking “hostile countries”, i read this interesting perspective in “The Secret History of the Five Eyes” by Richard Kerbaj.

He made the point that this intelligence was important to assess military capabilities and ability to deploy troops, when Günther Rumrich was spying in US for the Abwehr.

This is how Canada 🇨🇦 settled out border dispute with Denmark 🇩🇰 in Greenland after the Whisky Wars.

Why 🍊 has fever dreams about Canada as 51st state + buy or annex Greenland. To make a nice set with Panama Canal.

It’s not the cold. It’s to avoid the “half-mast” jokes with every photo of Inauguration Day forever more throughout History …

Although “cold” + “half-mast” … “masculine energy”???
