That's terrible, terrible, wood for carving.
You shouldn't burden your father with it. You should send it to me instead, so I can throw it on the lathe.
I feel so strongly about this, that I'd even pay the shipping. Just to spare your father the indignity of having to deal with that awful log.

I appreciate the critique, and it's something other people have pointed out. I'm also reminded of Frankfurter's response to Jan Karski when told about Auschwitz: "I don't believe you."
If Karski had shown Frankfurter pictures (like we did) maybe that would have changed his vote on Korematsu.

Here I was, ready to say something witty about believing it when I see it, and motivated reasoning, but I realized it would have been a dad joke.

2) We originally had a section on that, but realized we were just arguing about a hypothetical law that hadn't been passed. As written HB20 applies to volunteer mods. And even if it only applied to non-volunteers, it would limit the same activity.
