Case in point - Google search market share has seen its peak and is starting to steadily decline. And my personal Google search volume is way down.

I think this is likely to be a broader trend as well. Lock in and sustainable differentiation are going to be increasingly hard to find and because switching costs have decreased in most areas, products will continue to need to be the best with every cycle.

Yes, the CEO has been a *bit* distracted but beyond that, it is incredible how fast the innovation cycles are these days. Outside of Apple 2.0, Tesla went from arguably the most disruptive and world changing company of the last 100 years, to being beat in the market in about a decade.

For this reason, (among others that I won’t go into) I think we have seen peak Tesla.

What I didn’t expect is that after three weeks, I can say that the new car is way better in almost all ways (build quality at the top of the list). I haven’t missed the Tesla at all. It took a decade but the industry has caught up and surpassed Tesla.
