🍎 Applesauce Nut Bread (Quick & Easy!) Ingredients: 1 cup sugar 1 cup applesauce 1/4 cup oil 3 egg whites 3 Tbsp. skim milk 2 cups sifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Directions: In a large bowl, combine sugar, applesauce, oil, egg whites, and milk. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until well blended. Stir in chopped nuts. Spread batter into a greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350°F for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool, slice, enjoy! Makes one loaf. Nothing beats the smell of homemade bread wafting through the house. ❤️

Butternut Squash & Apple Bake

A cozy, old-fashioned favorite straight from our family kitchen: sweet, buttery, and full of fall flavor! Find the recipe in the ALT text.

Ingredients: 1 medium butternut squash, seeded & cut in pieces 3 medium apples, cored, peeled & sliced ½ cup brown sugar ¼ cup margarine 1 Tbsp flour 1 tsp salt ¼ tsp cinnamon ¼ tsp nutmeg Directions: Preheat oven to 350°F. Place squash and apples in a baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, margarine, flour, salt, cinnamon & nutmeg. Crumble the mixture over the squash and apples. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes more, until golden and bubbly. Serve warm and enjoy the taste of the season! 🍁✨

🎃 Pumpkin Soup Ingredients: 4 cups pumpkin puree 1 can coconut milk 1 tsp salt ½ tsp pepper ½ tsp cayenne pepper 2 tsp fresh sage ½ tsp nutmeg ½ tsp allspice Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. Blend with an immersion blender (or carefully in batches using a blender). Garnish with toasted pumpkin seeds. 🥄 To Make Pumpkin Puree from Fresh Pumpkin: Cut 5–6 slits down the side of a pie pumpkin or squash. Microwave for 8 minutes. Flip upside down and cook 5 more minutes, or until soft. Remove, cut in half, and let cool. Peel or cut off skin, scoop out seeds (save them for roasting!). 🌰 Toasted Pumpkin Seeds Ingredients: Seeds and goop from pumpkin ⅓ cup oil 2 tsp salt 1 tsp garlic Instructions: Spread seeds and goop on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil, salt, and garlic; toss to coat. Roast at 425°F, tossing every 10 minutes until golden (about 20–30 minutes). Store in an airtight container. Nothing says fall like the smell of pumpkin soup simmering on the stove! 🍁💛

Everyone stays put and just transitions to their new ruler. It’s nature’s way of hitting the “refresh” button on leadership! Long live the queen… or at least, the next one! 👸🐝

Ingredients: 2 ½ cups rhubarb, chopped 2 ½ cups strawberries, crushed 1 box powdered pectin 6 cups sugar Instructions: 1. Combine rhubarb, strawberries, and pectin in a large pot. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Add sugar all at once and return to a boil. 4. Let boil for 1–2 minutes, or until the mixture drips off the spoon slowly like honey. 5. Remove from heat and place in jars. *Store in the fridge for up to one year.
