the truth is before gAI we've been using AI scripts to automate repetitive or inefficient tasks just fine for decades, gAI makes those same tasks absolutely impossible or dangerous to do. it basically rendered decades of technology unusable. and it kills the planet and ruins economies as it does it.

an example: the thing that pisses me off so much about people using chatgpt as a search engine is using an algo generator to search for results actively *makes up the results*.
a web search is a script that simply collects and indexes existing data directly. there's no middle hallucination step.
