Interviewed a schoolgirl who wants to come and work for a week as a school project. After the family left I noticed that prominently top of a pile of books awaiting cataloguing was a copy of Lolita! I did not suggest a lake swim with her mother!

Listing a book on Torquemada I found a note bound in
"When the binders came to bind the last 500 copies they found that all the illustrations which were stored in another warehouse, had been destroyed by enemy action. It has unfortunately proved possible to replace only the frontispiece."

Today was a genuine Black Friday event at The Glass Key: not only did not a single customer enter the shop, but I saw not a single person walking past on rue de la Poelerie
