Non American who was in Redding, California when Barack Obama was first elected president, and I can tell you from personal experience. The air was electric, and everybody was smiling, gigantic ear to ear grins. I drove truck with my dad who was born in Maine and he was in the best mood ever.

You remind me of my parents and how they would feed all of mine and my siblings friends. Every kid in the neighbourhood was welcome at our house. My friend still brings that up and I’m in my 50s. This child will remember.

I sure hope you Americans do something to stop this. When Robin Williams said Canada was like a really nice apartment over top of a meth lab I used to laugh, but now I understand what he meant.

I think we dodged a bullet by not electing conservatives. I’ve been watching some of the house and none of them are up on their catchy slogans as PP was. They seem to actually get things accomplished.
