I have a PhD in physics that I'm not using, if anyone wants it?

Mostly known as:
Trinity Collidge Guy.
Failed Seanad candidate.

He/him.
Someone in the office who I've only ever interacted with on Outlook walked by while I had an email from them open.

They were wearing the exact same outfit as they had on in their profile image and it just looked like this:

There's some incredible levels to this.

Matthew Holness is writing a book in character as Garth Marenghi.

The book Marenghi has written has a self-insert character who is also a horror author called Nick Steen.

Steen has also written a book with a self-insert author character.

Hehe. Poop.

The lack of any additional context makes this read like the most pointless headline ever.

2025 Book #18: Prelude to Foundation

Hari Seldon is such a powerful figure in the other Foundation books because of how little you know and here he's a bit of an annoying dipshit.

Maybe it's better if you read the Robot books first but I found this one really underwhelming.

I only learned today that Ethan Slater played Spongebob Squarepants in a musical.

I honestly thought people referred to him as "Spongebob" because he was ugly.

Um, you can't park there

What?

Reading 'Prelude to Foundation' and that is... certainly one way of letting the reader know that not everyone in the galaxy is white.

2025 Book #17: Excession

Another Culture novel. Was really interesting to learn more about the Minds though I found the actual organic characters to be a little dull.
Still a fun read, but I'd rank it somewhere in the middle of what I've read of the series so far.

It bodes so well for the future that millions of people are becoming reliant on this technology for information.

This is much, much funnier than the post itself could ever be.

Like the app itself is cutting me off from posting dumb bullshit.

It's cool just on how many levels that description of Foundation is incorrect.

If you've seen Garth Marenghi's Darkplace you'll appreciate this.

Every time I've run for office I stripped naked and examined myself to make sure I hadn't accidentally acquired any Nazi tattoos.

Would've thought that was the first step in any political campaign.

This is great design because he can also use it next time he runs in an election.

Doing the Teelings tour and apparently the thing at the end was meant to be a "tasting" and not a race?

I think this is something called a "devil's coach-horse beetle" and I simply didn't know we had insects built like that in Ireland.

Went on a tour of Knowth and Newgrange and discovered neolithic Goatse.

2025 Book #16: Foundation and Earth

It's definitely veered very far from what I really loved about the original trilogy but it's still a very fun journey. I probably would've gotten more out of it if I had read the Robots books first.

A very "The End...?" ending.
