I think it was deliberate this time. The goal was to appoint people so incompetent, not only will they not question his decisions, they literally will not know any better. The first time, he has advisors who had the country’s best interests in mind. This time, the loyalty is only to Trump.

I would make a terrible White House press correspondent because I would get into an argument with him, pointing out his lies, and get thrown off the plane. Why these people aren’t doing that just baffles me.

It was never about that anyway. Tom Homan himself said, right before the election, that even if you’ve been here for twenty years, paid taxes, had no criminal record, and had a family, they would deport you and possibly your entire family if that’s what it took. They did it in Trump 1.0, too.

Someone no one else has mentioned: Elissa Slotkin. She’s smart, young and steeped in foreign policy. She was a US rep, now a senator and worked in two administrations. Pair her with Buttigieg and I think they’d be unstoppable. I don’t think it’s true that American voters won’t elect a woman.

But, don’t you see that being out of touch is not an outcome of age but of a mindset that is no longer relevant. If you stay relevant that transcends age. Look at Bernie Sanders! He’s 84 and more relevant, and sharp, I might add, than ever.

Many people can stay cognitively sharp well into their 80s. If your hypothetical surgeon is at the top of their game at 67, they’re just as competent if not more so than the 35 year old. We’re too quick to dismiss people as they get older as incompetent and it’s not true in every case.

This is true. One only needs to look at Facebook to see how poorly educated Americans are. Not all, mind you, but a significant percentage of the population has no education beyond high school. And they’re proud of that.

The Dems assumed that it would be the right thing to do to maintain civility and decorum, as always. However, and what’s really unforgivable is that they *knew* Rollins is a hardcore Trump boot licker and voted for her anyways. Both of my senators voted to confirm her. Sickening.
