What they don't tell you is that once you're out of a chronic depression you might get lazy. Like, if your resentment towards your circumstances was driving you, now it doesn't; so, now you have to find another drive, and form habits around it, which takes another forever.

For many years, I'd spend most of my time obsessing over work-related projects. Pondering everything, from architecture to tiny little details. I wanted them to be perfect. I wanted to solve puzzles our industry is basically built of - still, to this day. I knew it was possible. I still do.
